16 JUL 2024 Targusor Summer Vacation Activity
About 20 school children from the Targusor school, ages 6-14, participated in a summer activity organized in collaboration with 7 volunteer soldiers and staff. This initiative aimed to provide engaging activities for village children during their Summer Break.
The children had the opportunity to learn about weather equipment firsthand. A soldier demonstrated how the equipment works, giving insights into the role of his job and fostering an understanding of meteorological tools among the young participants.
After the demonstration, the children were divided into groups. One group engaged in sports activities with the volunteers, promoting physical fitness and teamwork. Simultaneously, another group worked on a craft project themed around the Olympics, where they created their own Olympic Torches using paper and popsicle sticks.
The event was well-received and marked a successful collaboration between the volunteers and the local youth, enriching their summer experience.
